PURCHASING POLICY
Grand Hotel Derin adopts an approach that gives importance to the environment and sustainability in supply chain management. In this regard, suppliers are expected to have quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems, to have internationally accepted environmental and sustainability certificates and to comply with environmental legislation. In addition, priority is given to environmentally sustainable suppliers and products, including food, beverages, construction materials and consumables. These suppliers are audited periodically.
It is also important to use natural resources without harming the ecosystem. Animal rights and sustainability of wildlife species are given importance in all purchasing activities, and prohibited products are not supplied.
Environmentally certified products and suppliers are preferred in terms of wood, paper, fish, other foods and products from wild nature. Where certified products or suppliers are not available, origin and production methods are investigated.
In order to minimize waste, it is aimed to carefully manage consumables, including food, and to choose reusable, returnable and recycled products. Additionally, suppliers' waste is expected to be minimized and managed correctly.
Practices such as using energy-saving products and purchasing from local/regional businesses are important for the environment. It is also aimed to support local entrepreneurs in the development and sale of sustainable products and services.
By adopting the principle of fair trade, corruption, bribery and conflicts of interest are avoided. Priority is given to business partners who comply with commercial ethical rules and legal regulations. In addition, the intellectual property rights of all business partners are protected.
